Sources: Severed Arm Found On Side Of Philadelphia Road Belongs To Woman Struck, Killed In Middletown Township Hit-And-Run
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Sources say the severed arm found on the side of the road in the Fox Chase section of Philadelphia belongs to the woman who was struck by multiple vehicles and killed in a hit-and-run in Middletown Township. The remains were located by a passerby on the 8800 block of Pine Road, around 8:40 a.m. Monday.
Sources say a fingerprint machine confirmed the connection.
No other body parts were found at the scene.
The 29-year-old woman was struck by multiple vehicles and killed while walking on Route 1 in Middletown Township, around 3:30 a.m. None of the vehicles stayed at the scene.
The woman's identity has not been released.
Police are investigating the circumstances of how the victim's arm ended up on the side of the road in Fox Chase.
