Philadelphia Police Officer Turns Himself In Following Alleged Domestic Incident
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia Police Officer Alex McAdams surrendered to the department's Internal Affairs Unit on Thursday. The surrender came after the department investigated a domestic incident that took place on March 5.
Authorities say that at 4:10 a.m., McAdams allegedly removed the screen from a side window of the first floor apartment belonging to his girlfriend.
Officials say McAdams, 28, broke the window, entered the apartment and took a personal item before chasing his girlfriend out of the apartment.
McAdams, who has been on the force for four years, faces charges of burglary, criminal trespass, theft, and criminal mischief.
The department has suspended McAdams for thirty days with intent to dismiss.
