Pedestrian Killed On Route 13 In Wilmington, Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) -- Authorities say a New Castle man was killed when he was hit by a DART bus on Route 13 in Wilmington.

Delaware State Police said 29-year-old David Albright Jr. ran in front of the bus near Rogers Road about 2 a.m. Thursday. Albright was knocked to the ground and then run over by the bus. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the bus was not injured.

Albright's body has been turned over the state medical examiner's office for an autopsy.

The crash remains under investigation.
