Patrick Kennedy Weds NJ Schoolteacher In Cape Cod


HYANNIS PORT, MASS. (AP) -- Patrick Kennedy, a former eight-term congressman from Rhode Island, has married Amy Petitgout
 in a private Cape Cod ceremony.


U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer officiated at the event, held Friday at the Kennedy's oceanside compound in Massachusetts.


The 44-year-old Kennedy is the son of the late Massachusetts Sen. Edward Kennedy. He represented Rhode Island's 1st Congressional District as a Democrat for 16 years. Since leaving Congress in January, he has been named a visiting fellow at Brown University and has campaigned to improve brain research.
