Officer Injured While Serving Warrant In Kensington

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A law enforcement officer was injured after they were struck by a car while trying to serve a warrant in Philadelphia Tuesday morning.

The incident happened at about 7 a.m. in the 3400 block of Rorer Street in the city's Kensington section.

According to investigators, police were serving a warrant when a female suspect ran out of a house, got into a car and attempted to drive away.

Authorities say the female struck one police car and backed into another.

During the chaos, investigators say an unidentified officer suffered minor injuries.

The female was arrested and is expected to face several charges.

The incident remains under police investigation.
