NJ Man Fined Following Killing Of Grandmother's Puppy
ROEBLING, N.J. (CBS) -- The Burlington County SPCA announced that a 19-year-old man received a sentence on Monday stemming from the death of a 7-month-old puppy.
Officials say Quintin Segars pleaded guilty and was charged with inflicting unnecessary cruelty on a living creature and needlessly killing a living creature by the County Humane Police.

Authorities say Segars killed the puppy in October just days after his grandmother adopted the dog. They add that it was an argument with his grandmother that led to the killing of the dog.
Segars was fined $750 for each charge and received a lifetime ban from owning an animal.
