Montgomery County Company Launches Social Media Site For Businesses

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A local startup hopes to bring the offline business-to-business networking model online.
Dan Esposito, the founder of Gateskip launched a new social network that lets members create or join professional networking groups -- without having to join a professional organization.
"It's for small businesses owners and sales people who are looking to increase their referral business."
Gateskip uses the business model of professional networking companies like BNI and LeTip, brought it online and added features like web conferencing and a Customer Relationship Manager.
Esposito says it's based in Conshohocken for two reasons: "I live here and I'm familiar with the businesses here and Conshohocken is actually a lively technology center."
Esposito came up with the name "Gateskip" because when you get a referral you're basically skipping the gatekeeper.
