Coroner IDs Montgomery County Couple, Rules Deaths Murder-Suicide
LOWER MORELAND TWP., Pa. (CBS) -- A coroner has ruled the deaths of a Montgomery County couple who were found inside their home by their teenage son a murder-suicide.
The bodies of 48-year-old Christopher Peppelman and 43-year-old Nicole Peppelman were found in their Lower Moreland home by their 14-year-old son Tuesday.
According to the coroner, Nicole Peppelman died of an injury to her abdomen caused by a chainsaw. In addition, the coroner ruled she was stabbed and choked. Her death has been ruled a homicide.
The coroner ruled that Christoper Peppelman died of an injury to his abdomen and thigh that was caused by a chainsaw. His death has been ruled a suicide.
Neighbors who spoke to Eyewitness News in the area said the couple had a long history of domestic disputes and that they had three children.
