MasterCard Tests Out Replacing Passwords With Selfies

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Love taking selfies? Soon you may be able to use one to pay your bill.

MasterCard is testing a new mobile app that allows shoppers to authorize transactions with a selfie.

No password or thumbprints will be needed.

President, Enterprise Safety and Security at MasterCard, Ajay Bhalla, said, "We want to identify people for who they are, not what they remember."

No word on when or if it will be available to everyone.
