Local Life Coach Offers Tips For Those Looking To Make Changes In The New Year

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It's New Year's resolutions time and a local life coach has some advice for those looking to change their lives.
If you're thinking about setting your 2014 goals, Joe White, a life coach based in New Castle County, Delaware recommends rating aspects of your life on a 1-10 scale.
"Ten being you have great levels of success and fulfillment," White says. "And zero might be something where, you don't have anything and you have to start immediately."
Then, White says, be realistic.
"If you haven't worked out in a decade," he says, "then doing a CrossFit as your first way in might not be the best first step."
He advises to take what he calls "massive action" and let go of fearing success.
"I think more often than not, people are more afraid to succeed," White says. "Because if you fail, you just go back to where you were. If you succeed, everything in your life changes."
