Ken Burns Readies Another Docu-Look at Baseball
Multi-award-winning documentary filmmaker Ken Burns is preparing a follow-up to his 1994 PBS television series on baseball, set to air in September.
KYW's Bob Nelson reports that with this new series Burns is violating his own rule of never repeating a subject.

Why? Burns says, "The last 16 years have cast some dark shadows over our national pastime," referring to the home-run explosion and the revelation that many of those homers were powered by steroids.
Burns says he was also eager to examine the rise of Latin players who've dominated the game over the last 20 years.
He was also asked if he thought Pete Rose, banned for life from baseball because of gambling, should be inducted into the Hall of Fame. He suggested that we wait until Rose dies before responding:
"He deserves to be in the Hall of Fame but he doesn't deserve to know he's in the Hall of Fame. But that's just one person's opinion."
The new baseball documentary, titled "The Tenth Inning," is set to air on PBS on September 28th and 29th.
