Joel Embiid Looks Happy To Be Back In Philly

By Ray Boyd

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Sixers season began without their top pick on the sidelines. The plan was for Embiid to be on the bench and with the team while he rehabs his foot injury.

The plans changed following the sudden death of Embiid's younger brother. Embiid traveled back to Cameroon to attend the funeral and to be with his family.

On Friday night, Embiid returned to Philadelphia to resume work with his team and judging from his showing during the pregame introductions, he looks very happy to be back.

Sixers fans are eager to see those dance moves when Embiid has a jersey on and is penciled into the lineup. For now, it is a good sign. There is certainly a lot of enthusiasm in the Sixers new big man.

There was no indication whether Embiid was medically cleared for those dance moves, but it seemed to go just fine.
