PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Eagles have not drafted a quarterback in the first-round of the NFL Draft since Donovan McNabb in 1999 (No. 2 overall).
94WIP's Howard Eskin reported on Wednesday's 94WIP Morning Show, the Eagles' streak of no round one QB's will continue this year. Eskin definitely says he believes the Eagles "will not draft a quarterback in the first round."
The Eagles have the 13th overall pick this year, but reports of a potential trade with the Dolphins indicate they may be moving up to slot No. 8.
Eskin also reported on Tuesday evening that the Eagles will sign former Kansas City Chiefs backup quarterback Chase Daniel, release Mark Sanchez, and select a quarterback "late" in April's draft. The Eagles will save $3.5 million on their cap if they cut Sanchez.
