Hemorrhoids And Hipsters More Popular Than Congress

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Listen up, Congress. You've sunk to a new low.

Things that are more popular with the American people? Dog poo, hemorrhoids, hipsters and the DMV. Oh, and jury duty.

That's according to Public Policy Polling, which released the results of its latest survey following the government shutdown.

In fact, just 8% of Americans approve of the job Congress is doing. Forty-seven-percent of those surveyed have a higher opinion of dog poop than of those elected to represent us.

There is some good news, though: The Ebola Virus, Miley Cyrus and Anthony Weiner are still less popular than our legislative body.

According to PPP, the survey was conducted in early October and there is a 4.4% margin of error. To see the full survey results, click here.
