Harry Potter Superfans Anxiously Await Release Of Latest Chapter
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - At 12:01 a.m. Sunday, fans of the Harry Potter series were able to get their hands on the latest installment in the beloved series - "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts One and Two."
It's a special release of the script of a show being performed in London.
Fans young and old gathered at the Barnes and Noble in Center City -- some dressed in costume -- took part in face-painting, wand making and were sorted into their respective houses thanks to the Sorting Hat.
Superfan Evie couldn't wait to get her hands on the newest book:
"Oh my god, you do not know how excited I am. I am like...there are no words."
Kaitlyn had actually already seen Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in London, and says fans won't be disappointed with where the story goes. But what makes the series so special to her?
"I really like the characters, and how they're all so well rounded and like real people and role models."
The store was also doing a raffle for fans that had pre-ordered, giving away a bunch of Harry Potter items like a throw blanket, T-shirts, mugs and more.
