PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- The worst weekend of every NFL season is when the Eagles have their bye week. This year, it comes in week 7, during the weekend of Sunday, October 19th. No need to worry, however, as we have put together a trip where you can go to the Pro Football Hall Of Fame with 94WIP's Ray Didinger and Glen Macnow on a two night trip from Thursday, October 16th to Saturday, October 18th.
Though Macnow and Didinger will be hosting the trip, they'll also be taking the trip as fans.
"The trip was Glen's idea but I thought it was a great way to spend the bye week," Didinger said. "I haven't been back to the Pro Football Hall of Fame since 2011 and I've never seen the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame so I'm really looking forward to it."
"I was thinking recently that I've never visited the football Hall of Fame," Macnow explained. "I've been to baseball's in Cooperstown, basketball's in Springfield, hockey's in Toronto. I've even been to the bowling and swimming halls of fame. But never pro football."
So, what can you expect on the trip?
"If they are football fans -- and we know the 94WIP audience loves its football -- they will be blown away by the trip to Canton," Didinger said. "There is so much history in that building, it is educational and inspiring. And it's not just old stuff. Nick Foles' jersey and cleats from his seven touchdown pass game last season in Oakland is on display. There is something for everyone."
"Ray and I both respect and enjoy the people who listen to our shows, so we're as excited about being with them as they may be about hanging with us," Macnow said. "Besides that, we'll see everything from Randall Cunningham's gold-tip shoe laces to Jimi Hendrix's guitar to the leg lamp from 'Christmas Story.' We'll have Ray -- author of The New Eagles Encyclopedia -- telling every great Eagles story as we meander through the NFL archives. Pretty cool stuff."
