Gunshot Victim Drives Himself To Philadelphia Police Station

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Authorities are investigating after a gunshot victim drove himself to a Philadelphia police station Wednesday.

It happened at 3:10 p.m. in the 5900 block of N. Broad Street.

Police say a 23-year-old man drove himself to 35th District Headquarters with a gunshot wound to the lower right side of his back.

He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center  and placed in extremely critical condition.

According to police, the victim indicated the shooting occurred in the area of 67th Avenue and Smedley Street.

Police say no shooting scene has been located at this time.

The incident remains under investigation.
