It's the 20th anniversary of Eastern State Penitentiary, which means extra spooktacular and frightful fun this fall plus two new attractions to celebrate their 20 years of terror. The Penitentiary's legendary Terror Behind the Walls kicks off September 23rd and runs through Saturday November 12th. Called "perfect for Halloween" by The New York Times and ranked No. 1 in the nation by AOL City Guide, Terror Behind the Walls is the region's premier haunted attraction right in our backyard. $12 adults, $8 for kids. Longwood Gardens will hold its Pumpkin Playground from Saturday Sept. 17th through Tuesday November 1st with opportunities for kids to play with the pumpkins and get up close with the gourds, roll in the hay and generally enjoy the fun of fall in Longwood's Idea Garden. Plus enjoy the beautiful gardens and outdoor fall displays that are available at Longwood this time of year. Adults $18. Students 5-18 $8. Children 4 and under free.

Wynnorr Farm is a 4th generation Chester County Farm that's been owned by the Stratton family since 1924. In addition to a farm stand, cider, pumpkins and apples, the farm also has two corn mazes—a 4-acre one for adults, and a small, simple 1-acre maze for the kids with 10 puzzle stations hidden within. Both mazes are open for flashlight tours on Oct. 28 and 29 (7 – 9 p.m.), just in time for Halloween. And, at Wynnorr, you can also drive a pedal go-kart around the track (ages 3 and up), or partake in an apple toss at targets. Produce stand is open Monday – Friday noon – 6 p.m., and Saturday & Sunday 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
