Gas Stations In New Jersey Charged With Hiking Prices During Hurricane Irene

CHERRY HILL, N.J. (CBS) - New Jersey officials have charged three gas stations, including one in Cherry Hill, New Jersey with illegally hiking gas prices in the Hurricane Irene time frame.

Tom Calcagni is the director of the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs. He says the Lukoil station located at298 Kings Highway inCherry Hill is among those charged.

"They rely on the public," said Calcagni.

The owner of that station must appear in municipal court and if found guilty could face up to a $1,500 fine.
