Family Pleads For Public's Help As Search Continues For Missing Delaware Mother

By Todd Quinones

NEW CASTLE, Del., (CBS) -- A family is pleading for the public's help as police continue to search for a missing Delaware mother (see previous story).

An eyewitness tells CBS3 he saw someone forcing the mother into her own car in the middle of the night.

The 33-year-old hasn't been heard from since.

Nefertiri Trader's three children and mom are simply devastated.

That according to her aunt Janice Webb.

"We miss her. Her family misses her. Her mother is a basket case. Her children are hanging in as much as they can," Webb said.

It's been more than a week since trader's neighbor Joe Robinson heard the sound of a woman screaming at 4 a.m.

"It was loud enough to wake us up," Robinson said.

That's when Robinson, who lives a few doors down from Trader's home on Freedom Trail in Saddlebrook, ran out to his window and says he spotted his neighbor in trouble.

He told his account to Eyewitness News shortly after he witnessed what he believes was an abduction.

"He was dragging her. It was like she wasn't moving or anything," he said.

Trader vanished July 1st.

Earlier that night, she was seen on surveillance video here at this 7-Eleven at Airport Road and Route 273.

It's believed she headed home from there.

Thursday night her family once again made a plea for help, asking anyone who knows what happened to call police.

"We know she went to the store. She came home and whoever was her, was here and she got taken," Trader's cousin William Trader said.

"She wouldn't just disappear, that's not her. She wouldn't do that," Webb said.

New Castle County Police were handing out flyers in Trader's neighborhood searching for new leads and witnesses.

Trader was last seen being put into her car, a silver 2000 Acura RL.

"Someone knows, it's just a matter of when they feel comfortable coming forward. We need information. We need something to work on," New Castle County Police Officer Tracey Duffy said.

Trader's car has a Delaware license plate: 404893.

The man spotted putting her in her car is only being described as wearing a black hoodie and tan shorts.
