Eagles To Face NFL's 'Toughest Slate Of Cornerback Opposition'
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Not only do the Eagles lack talent at the wide receiver position, but those wide receivers will face tougher opponents than any other receiving corps in the NFL.

According to ESPN.com's Mike Clay, the Eagles will face, "clearly the toughest slate of cornerback opposition" this season.
Clay ranks the New York Giants with Janoris Jenkins, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Leon Hall, and Eli Apple as the No. 1 cornerback unit in the league. He also ranks Washington at No. 4 with Josh Norman, Bashaud Breeland, Kendall Fuller, and Dashaun Phillips.
Jordan Matthews, who is already dealing with a preseason knee injury missing the team's first two preseason games, will have his work cut out for him in 2016.
"Matthews figures to see a lot of Fuller (WAS), Hall (NYG), Captain Munnerlyn (MIN), Micah Hyde (GB) and Darqueze Dennard (CIN)," Clay writes. "That's a walk in the park compared to what the likes of Nelson Agholor and Dorial Green-Beckham will see on the perimeter."
On the flip side, the Eagles' cornerback unit -- consisting most likely of Leodis McKelvin, Nolan Carroll, Jalen Mills/Eric Rowe, and Ron Brooks -- was unsurprisingly not ranked as one of Clay's top 16 units.
The Eagles' corners will have to face top receivers like Odell Beckham Jr., Dez Bryant, DeSean Jackson, A.J. Green, Jordy Nelson, and Julio Jones in 2016.
