Eagles QB Michael Vick Officially Listed As Questionable For Sunday's Game Against Cowboys

Officially speaking, quarterback Mike Vick is questionable to play for the Eagles this weekend against the Dallas Cowboys. Nick Foles will get another start to lead the Eagles offense as the Eagles and Cowboys battle for first place in the NFC East, but there is some encouraging news for the Birds, as Vick did participate in a full practice on Friday.

Vick taking in a full practice for the first time this week should be encouraging as the mobile quarterback comes back from a hamstring injury. Although Foles will get the start and the offense has performed well with the second-year quarterback under center, having the possibility of going back to Vick in case of emergency is comforting. But do not count on Chip Kelly making a switch even if thongs are going rough, because rushing Vick back in to a game could end up doing more harm than good.

Vick is one of two Eagles players listed as questionable for this weekend's game. Running back Chris Polk is also listed as questionable due to a shoulder injury. Polk did not practice on Wednesday, was limited on Thursday and was available for a full practice on Friday, but the there is not much reason to rush him back in to the running game as long as LeSean McCoy is healthy and Bryce Brown is available as a back-up option.

Safety Patrick Chung continues to have a shoulder injury holding him back this week. After being listed as probable last weekend, Chung has been downgraded to doubtful for this weekend. Chung was limited in practices Wednesday and Thursday but did take in a full practice on Friday. Earl Wolff should fill the vacancy after recording five tackles and one deflected pass last week in a road win at Tampa Bay.

The Eagles have also listed a few players as probable for this weekend's NFC East match-up. Tight end James Casey (groin) took part in full practices all week and should be available without much concern. Punter Donnie Jones continues to have a minor left foot injury, but should be ready if needed again this weekend. Perhaps the most alarming injury among those listed as probable continues to be left tackle Jason Peters, who was out of practice on Wednesday with shoulder and finger injuries. Peters did practice in full practices on Thursday and Friday though, so the offensive line should be in good shape against a Cowboys defensive front that could be without DeMarcus Ware, the top pass rush threat Dallas may have.
