Driver Sought In Deadly Montgomery County Hit-Run

UPPER PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) – Police are searching for the driver who fled the scene after fatally striking a pedestrian in Montgomery County Wednesday afternoon.

The deadly incident happened at about 1:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Township Line Road in Upper Providence Township.

Upon arrival, officers from the Upper Providence Police Department found an unidentified female who had been stuck by a vehicle, which fled the scene.

The victim was taken to Pottstown Hospital and was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The striking vehicle is described as being grey in color with right front headlight and windshield damage. The vehicle may be a Toyota Camry and was last seen northbound on Township Line Road.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of her family.
