They are protesting the Philadelphia Media Network, which publishes the Inquirer and its push to eliminate 30 more union jobs.

The company has offered buyouts citing declining revenue.

Members of the guild want no layoffs.

"Just today, have the news of a refinery and a hospital shutting down. We continue to make the cuts here at the Inquirer, we lose the expertise and credibility that this city needs and counts on," guild president Diane Mastrull said.

So far, 22 people have taken buyouts.

The Inquirer will meet with union representatives on Friday to discuss if the layoffs will go forward.
