Delaware Man Stabbed Christmas Morning By Relative

NEW CASTLE, Del. (CBS) --  Police in Delaware are investigating a Christmas morning stabbing in New Castle County.

Authorities responded to Birkshire Road in Oakmont for reports of a stabbing.

They found the 47-year-old victim with stab wounds to his torso and arm.

The suspect, who police say is related to the victim, fled the scene before officers arrived.

Police are currently looking for him as the investigation continues.

The victim was transported to Christiana Hospital and underwent surgery.

His condition isn't known at this time.
