David Limbaugh: Nothing Wrong With Tag Team Effort Against Trump

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Conservative author and columnist David Limbaugh addressed the alliance between Republican presidential candidates Ted Cruz and John Kasich to stop Donald Trump from acquiring enough delegates to win the Republican nomination, saying it does come off looking like a party ploy to take a victory away from Trump, but that is not the case.

Limbaugh, in an interview with Dom Giordano on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT, stated that, despite appearances, nothing subversive is happening.

"It does, unfortunately, play into that narrative, the narrative that there is collusion with Cruz and the establishment and that the primary and caucuses are rigged, when in fact, that is not the case. Trump knows it's not the case. In the first place, Kasich and Cruz, kind of, tacitly entered into an agreement that Kasich will bow out of Indiana and Cruz will get out of these few other states so that they can do better against Trump because they unite in their opposition to Trump."

Limbaugh also revealed he think's Trump voters are ignorant of the process and what their candidate really stands for.

"The thing that scares me, this falls in line with everything else that Team Trump is doing, and that is running on anger. And blind anger. I don't even know if Trump supporters, and I don't mean to sound condescending, ultimately know what they're voting for."
