Cops: Man Sold Fake NCAA Tickets To Woman In Rittenhouse

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for a suspect wanted for fraud in Rittenhouse.

Authorities say on March 24, a 48-year-old woman met an unknown male, who referred to himself as "Sebastian Murphy," on the 1800 block of Market Street to purchase NCAA basketball tournament tickets.

After buying two tickets from the suspect for $150 each, police say the woman tried to redeem the tickets at the game and was informed they were counterfeit.

Authorities say the victim responded to a Craigslist ad selling the tickets.

Police describe the suspect as a black male in his mid to late 20s, average height, thin build, wearing a white shirt, dark-colored pants, white sneakers and a black and red baseball cap.
