Man injured after debris falls from Center City building, Philadelphia police say

A man was critically injured after debris fell from a Center City building Friday morning, Philadelphia police said.

It happened on the 1200 block of Chestnut Street around 11 a.m., according to police. 

Police said the man was struck by debris that fell from scaffolding and taken to Jefferson University Hospital, where he was placed in critical condition. 

The incident remains under investigation.
