Canadian Town's Water Turns Bright Pink
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- It may be pretty, but pink water is probably not what people want to see when turning on their faucets.
But regardless, that is what's flowing in the Canadian town on Onoway, outside of Edmonton.
Residents flooded social media with pictures of the water.
The water department says a broken valve at their treatment plant allowed a chemical they use to seep into their reservoir.
Officials insist there is no public health risk.
