Atlantic City Police Makes Bridget Pierce Highest-Ranking Female Officer In Its History
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) -- It's a first for the Atlantic City Police Department. The Atlantic City Prosecutor's Office announced Wednesday Bridget Pierce has been promoted to the deputy police chief, making her the city's first female deputy police chief and the highest-ranking female officer in its history.
Pierce was promoted from her previous rank of captain on Monday.
She joins six other officers who were promoted.
