2 men dead in shooting at Bordentown, New Jersey 7-Eleven, Valero gas station
Two men are dead and suspects are still being sought after a shooting at a 7-Eleven and Valero gas station in Bordentown Township, New Jersey.
The shooting happened at the gas station on Route 130 and Farnsworth Avenue, around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Police were called after a man who had been shot in the parking lot walked into the store and requested help, the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office said.
That man, a 22-year-old, was pronounced dead on the scene. Another victim, a 21-year-old, was taken to a Trenton hospital and pronounced dead there.
A crime scene could be seen in the parking lot.
Suspects fled the scene in a Jeep and later crashed in Florence Township, New Jersey. They are still at large.
There is no word on a motive or if anyone has been arrested. It's not clear what led to the shooting, but investigators believe the attack was not random.
The prosecutor's office is withholding the names of the people killed at this time. Police from Bordentown Township, Florence Township, the New Jersey State Police and BCPO are all investigating the shooting.
BCPO said initial media reports that indicated one victim had been stabbed were inaccurate.
