MAPLE SHADE, NJ (CBS) -- Authorities say a Philadelphia man has been charged after an adult woman's body was found discovered inside the trunk of a car in Burlington County, New Jersey.
Police say they were initially notified that the victim was missing by her family in Philadelphia. Using On-Star technology, officials were able to track her 2014 Chevy to a Maple Shade hotel.
Around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, police responded to the Quality Inn on Route 38 in Maple Shade. Once on scene, police say they found a female's body in the trunk of a car in the parking lot of the hotel.
Police say 41-year-old Jesus Garcia has been charged with concealing human remains. Authorities say he was in possession of the vehicle when Maple Shade police officers discovered him.
Police say the body has not yet been positively identified. An autopsy will be performed Monday by the Burlington County Medical Examiner.
Authorities say Garcia was taken to Burlington County Jail and held on $150,000 bail. If he fails to post bail, he will appear in Superior Court on Tuesday in Mount Holly.
