BLOG: Foreclosure Rescue Fraud Meetings

By Jim Donovan: Are you the victim of foreclosure rescue fraud? Maybe you paid for what you thought was legitimate "help" with your mortgage, but never got anything in return? Well now is the time to let your story be heard.

Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Delaware Valley, The Fair Housing Council of Suburban Philadelphia and The Reinvestment Fund are holding a series of focus groups to investigate possible mortgage rescue scams in the Philadelphia region. The initiative is being funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The first meeting will be held at 6:00pm on Wednesday June 1st, 2011 at the 20th Century Club at 84 South Lansdowne Avenue, Lansdowne, PA, 19050. Any homeowners who believe they have been victims of foreclosure rescue fraud should bring any documentation of their experience, such as contracts, emails, flyers, etc. These revealing testimonies will be compiled and analyzed to assess if home owners rights were violated under Federal Fair Housing Laws.
