Why We Love Sports: Blind Pottstown Senior Scores 60-Yard TD

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Marvin Pearson has been blind since he was 10 years old, but that hasn't stopped him from scoring touchdowns.

Now, a high school senior, Pearson is a member of the Pottstown Trojans football team. In a lost game, trailing Pottsgrove 48-0, head coach Gary Rhodenbaugh dialed up Pearson's number.

With a little over three minutes left in the game, Pearson took the snap under center and rumbled for a 60-yard touchdown, his first score. David Reidenouer and Scott Furhman were on the call courtesy of PCTVpottstown.

"That's a great job," Reidenouer said. "Oh man, that's awesome. Oh that made my whole day. That's what life and sportsmanship is all about right there.

"Forget the score and all that, Dave," Furhman responded. "That doesn't even count right now."

"That's awesome. Unbelievable," Reidenouer said. "That makes me proud to be a Trojan, I'll tell you."
