Black Bear Spotted In Bucks County

WARRINGTON, Pa. (CBS) – A bear was spotted in Warrington, Bucks County on Thursday morning.

The bear was seen around 10 a.m. near Barclay Elementary School on Palomino Drive.

Around 10:30 a.m., officials were seen loading the bear – presumably tranquilized – into a cage for transport.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Commission says this was the same bear that was spotted in Buckingham Wednesday in someone's backyard and in Salisbury Township, last week.

In New Jersey, officials say another bear was also spotted in a tree on the campus of The College of New Jersey in Ewing Township around 2 p.m.

Officials say authorities were called in about an hour later and Wildlife officials tranquilized the bear. Officials then had to use a fire ladder truck to shake the bear loose from the tree.

Authorities confirm the bear was placed in a tarp and carried into a vehicle.

There is no word on where either bear is being relocated.
