Bethlehem Police Search For Woman Who Allegedly Stole 'Baby Jesus' Statue

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (CBS) -- Police in Bethlehem are asking for the public's help after a baby Jesus statue was taken from a Nativity scene at the Bethlehem's City Hall.

The statue was recovered in Bethlehem with a note that authorities said made no sense.

Police describe the woman who took the statue as a light skinned female with shoulder length brownish hair. They say she is roughly 120-140 lbs and was wearing a knee length dark colored coat with a hood, dark colored yoga pants, dark colored flat bottom shoes and a dark baseball cap.

Authorities add that she was walking a tan, or gold colored medium size dog when she was seen at the Nativity scene. Officials say she drove a dark colored 2 door Saturn Ion or similar vehicle.

Anyone with information on who this person is, is asked to contact police.
