Ben Simmons Reportedly Wants To Play For Lakers
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Ben Simmons apparently wants to be a part of the Hollywood lifestyle.
According to Nick DePaula of The Vertical, Simmons' camp is "hoping" the Lakers land the top pick in Tuesday's NBA Draft Lottery forcing Nike to match Adidas' shoe deal for the LSU product and projected No. 1 overall selection.
Adidas, the report says, offered Simmons a five-year shoe deal worth $10 million with a $2 million signing bonus and $1 million in incentives. Nike has held firm at $7.5 million for five-years.
