Another Veterans' Job Fair Held at Lincoln Financial Field

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A "Hire Our Heroes" job fair was being held today at Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia, designed to help US military veterans find employment.
"I was actually a technical instructor and supervisor at Keesler Air Force Base. We handled communications dealing with Air Force One for the president," attendee Adrian Davis, an Air Force veteran, tells KYW Newsradio.
Davis says today's job market is tough and she's grateful for the help.
The "Hiring Our Heroes" career fair includes employers such as Walmart, where market asset protection manager John Bashove says he understands what these vets are facing: he was a captain in the US Army.
"The veterans need to know what's available to them. When I got out of the military, it was a very daunting task, to think, 'Oh my goodness, I need to go find a job now.' From our side, the corporate world, we're getting leaders. They do well in our ranks."
Davis agrees, and says all she needs is a chance.
"We are dedicated, diligent, and dependable, and we support our country 100 percent," she says.
