Allen, Eagles Defense, Prepare For First Look at RGIII
By Matt Leon
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Eagles will look to snap their five-game losing streak on Sunday as they visit the Washington Redskins in NFC East action.
They will get their first look at rookie phenom Robert Griffin III in this one. The quarterback out of Baylor has been wonderful through the first nine games of his NFL career, completing 65.6% of his passes for 1,993 yards and eight touchdowns against just three interceptions. He has also been just as dangerous running with the football as he has rushed for 529 yards (6.5 ypc) and three scores.
"They put the ball in his hands a lot to make plays, and he's been making plays with his feet and with his arm," Eagles safety Nate Allen tells KYW Newsradio. "Everybody on our side of the ball on defense, we've just got to be disciplined this week. Everybody's got to know their assignment and make plays."

Allen says that Griffin shows a lot of composure under fire, especially for a rookie.
"He know how to slip pressure and get out of the pocket. And he's looking downfield to throw the ball, but if he doesn't see anything then he's taking off running."
Allen adds that Griffin is made even more dangerous by the presence of another top rookie at running back.
"Alfred Morris, he's a downhill guy. He blocks, he does everything he needs to do on that offense. He's just a tough and powerful runner."
While Griffin III was the #2 overall pick in the draft this year, Morris didn't come to Washington with nearly the same high expectations. He was a sixth round pick in the draft out of Florida Atlantic University. So far this season, he has rushed for a team-high 793 yards and six touchdowns this season.
The Eagles and Redskins will kick-off at 1:00pm on Sunday.
