94WIP's Gargano And Macnow Try To Bring Good Luck To The Linc

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Eagles have lost ten straight games at Lincoln Financial Field. Instead of counting on the team alone to beat Washington on Sunday, 94WIP's Anthony Gargano and Glen Macnow decided to take matters into their own hands.

The duo brought their show to Lincoln Financial Field on Friday, broadcasting from the same booth Merrill Reese and Mike Quick broadcast the games. They called on a priest, a rabbi, and even a "voodoo priest" to rid the place of bad memories and energy, and bring good luck to the team and fans, who have gone over a calendar year without a win at home.

"Today we usher in a new era of goodwill surrounding the Eagles," Gargano said to open the show at around 1pm Friday afternoon. "We want you to name the stain." The 'stains' Gargano was asking for, were the bad memories fans had of Lincoln Financial Field.

The 'stains' flooded in on Facebook, Twitter and the phone lines.

DRC of course refers to Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, the cornerback the Eagles received in return for quarterback Kevin Kolb.

"We're here to ward away the bad vibes, and the stink of the Linc," Gargano said.

Joe Webb refers to the backup quarterback who led the Vikings to a surprising win over the Eagles on a Tuesday night, when the game was delayed two days because of snow in Philadelphia.

Glen Macnow's 'stain' was running back Ronnie Brown, signed prior to the 'Dream Team' season two years ago. Brown inexplicably lateraled the football just two yards short of the goal line, while he was being tackled in a game in October 2011 against the 49ers.

Caller Jake from West Chester named former Eagles president Joe Banner the 'stain' along with what he called the "nightmare team," a reference to 2011's "Dream Team."

Guests of the show included Rabbi Saul Issiakson,  saxophone player Bill Douglas, Pastor TJ Foltz 3pm, Father John Stabino 4pm and Minister Mary Anne Sladzinski, who is also 28 year season ticket holder."

Thomas B., a 94WIP Facebook fan, said the 'stain' is "Jan. 18th 2004 loss to those Carolina Panthers…….and on a second note may they N-E-V-E-R wear those blue & gold jerseys again."

In the end, we won't know until Sunday if Anthony and Glen brought good luck to Lincoln Financial Field, but if recent history is any indication, the Eagles needed all the help they can get.
