Police: 1 In Custody Following North Philadelphia Home Invasion
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police say one person is in custody and another person is being sought following a home invasion in North Philadelphia.
Police say it happened after 11 p.m. Wednesday on Bancroft Street.
According to police, a woman was home with her children when two men allegedly burst in an unlocked door asking for money. Investigators say when the children started crying, the woman was told to quiet them. Police say a suspect then accidentally shot himself in the leg.
Police say they took the suspect into custody after he showed up at a hospital, and are looking for the second man.
No other injuries were reported.
