2 Men Taken To HUP After Truck Overturns On I-76

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Two men were rushed to an area hospital after a sanitation truck overturned on I-76 near the Vine Street Expressway Thursday afternoon.

The accident happened just after 1 p.m., shutting down all eastbound lanes of I-76 for almost three hours. Commuters were detoured to I-676 eastbound or the 30th Street exit.

The two male victims, who police say are in their fifties, were taken to The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in stable condition.

It's not clear how the truck overturned. The crash is under investigation.
