2 Hurt In Egg Harbor Township K-9 Police Cruiser Accident

EGG HARBOR Twp., N.J. (CBS) – Two people were injured during an accident involving a police K-9 cruiser and an SUV, Monday evening.

The accident happened just after 8 p.m. near at intersection of Mill Road and Fernwood Avenue in Egg Harbor Township.

After the collision, the K9 cruiser veered off the road and ended up in the woods.

The driver of the SUV and the officer were transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.

According to police, there is no word if a K9 unit was in the police car at the time.

This incident remains under police investigation.
