Hundreds of colleges in recent years have made it optional for applicants to submit test scores in an effort to promote equity and diversify applicant pools. Lately, their ranks have been growing by the week.
The bug has mostly impacted the Monmouth County district's middle school, but officials decided to close all schools "out of an abundance of caution."
It happened on the 6700 block of Leeds Street, just before 9 p.m.
