Zumba Prostitution Scandal: Maine Supreme Court may decide whether to release names of suspected "johns" today

(CBS/AP) PORTLAND, Maine - The Maine Supreme Court may decide Monday whether to publicly release the names of clients in the alleged Zumba prostitution scandal in the quiet town of Kennebunk, Maine.

The Kennebunk Police Department declined to release any of the more than 150 names of suspected clients on Friday on the behest of a pending appeal aimed at keeping the list confidential. The appeal seeking an expedited hearing was brought on behalf of two of the men who are on the list.

Attorney Stephen Schwartz said he doesn't believe the state can prove the charges and that releasing the names will cause "devastating consequences."

Alexis Wright, a 29-year-old Zumba instructor, has pleaded not guilty to 106 counts of prostitution, invasion of privacy and other charges. Her business partner, Mark Strong, also has pleaded not guilty to 59 misdemeanor counts.
