Zsa Zsa's Hubby To Go To Court Over Baby
Zsa Zsa Gabor's husband is going to try to prove that he's the father of Anna Nicole Smith's baby.
Prince Frederic von Anhalt tells The Associated Press he will go to court and file a paternity challenge this week, and wants custody of the little girl born in September. He vows to go to the Bahamas and pick her up, if the court rules in his favor.
Von Anhalt claims he had a decade-long affair with Smith, despite being married to Gabor, who is now 90. But a former publicist for Gabor calls her husband a "chronic fabricator."
The child's birth certificate lists Smith's companion, Howard K. Stern, as the girl's father. That's already being challenged by a former boyfriend of the reality TV star, who died Thursday.Photos: Anna Nicole Smith
James Neavitt, the attorney for Stern, told The Early Show co-anchor Harry Smith that Stern is definitely the father, despite tales of Smith's active love life. He said Stern will submit to a paternity test when he feels the court system is "able to be a secure type of situation."
In a tribute message to Smith on his Web site, Birkhead says, "our daughter, Dannielynn is a constant reminder of the love we shared and the life that we desired."
Von Anhalt says Gabor is warning she doesn't want a baby in the house, and that their marriage will be over if he brings the girl home. Von Anhalt says a divorce would be up to Gabor.
The Web site TMZ reported Monday that sources say Von Anhalt is on the payroll of certain European tabloids and created the story for them. "He timed it to coincide with the arrival in Los Angeles of hundreds of foreign media outlets for Oscar junkets," a source tells the Web site.
