Yahoo Unveils Finance App for BlackBerry, iPhone
Want to stay connected to the stock market (what's left of it), your portfolio (what's left of it), and financial news in general?
The new Yahoo Finance app for iPhone and BlackBerry puts a (sorry) wealth of financial info in the palm of your hand. Here's a sampling of what you can do with it:
- Follow the broad market indices or a specific company
- Access the top financial news stories
- Follow your personalized portfolio from Yahoo! Finance
- Drill down into specific company information (news, chart, financial metrics)
- Get currency conversions on the go
- Watch streaming video from Tech Ticker
Though I'm liking what I've seen of the iPhone app, there's really nothing new here (except for the currency converter) that wasn't already available in CNNMoney [App Store link]. It's just another very solid option for anyone interested in keeping tabs on the money markets.
It's worth noting that Yahoo also took the wraps off a new Flickr app for the iPhone, which allows you to browse and search photos and upload new ones directly to your account.
