Xobni No Longer Beta, No Longer Slowpoke

After more than a year in beta, Beloved Outlook add-in Xobni is now an official product. Better yet, it's still free (though a premium version is in the works) and it runs much faster than before. Here's a look at what's new and improved.

Actually, there's nothing all that new in Xobni 1.7, but much has been improved:

• Outlook now starts 31% faster, and profiles load 42% faster.
• You now have the choice to make Xobni start immediately with Outlook, or start only when you want to use it.
• You can control how often and how much data Xobni indexes.
• Fixed compatibility issues with BlackBerry Desktop software, MobileMe, Microsoft Office Communicator, and other applications.
