Woman whines about Colo. cops' handling of DUI case, so she gets arrested for drunk driving, too
(CBS/AP) DENVER - A suburban Denver woman wasn't happy with how some police officers parked their patrol cars as they investigated a DUI-related crash, and she told them just how she felt.
And that's how she ended up getting arrested for drunk driving, too.
Police in Westminister, a community northwest of Denver, told local station KMGH-TV that 49-year-old Katherine Morse was taken into custody after she walked up to police who were trying to move a car after a crash Sunday.
A spokesman said police had parked their cars to prevent a suspected drunk driver from leaving the scene. Officers told Morse to return to her car and she became "belligerent with them, telling them it was a stupid place" for a traffic stop.
That's when officers eyeballing Morse realized "she too was drunk."
Morse also faces charges of obstructing police.
