Who are the most powerful people in the media?

(CBS News) Who are the movers and shakers in the media world, the people who drive the national conversation and news agenda for Hollywood and beyond?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the list includes morning show and evening news anchors, late-night talk show hosts, network news executives and a shock jock, an entertainment mogul, a sportscaster and an Internet impresario.

All three network evening news anchors - Scott Pelley of CBS, Brian Williams of NBC and Diane Sawyer of ABC - are on the THR list as are network morning show anchors Charlie Rose of "CBS This Morning," Matt Lauer and Ann Curry of NBC's "Today" and Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos of "Good Morning America" on ABC.

Other newscasters include CNN's Anderson Cooper, Fox's Bill O'Reilly, CBS's Steve Kroft, and ABC's Barabara Walters and Katie Couric.

From the late-night lineup are David Letterman (but not Jay Leno), Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and Jimmy Fallon.

In the executive suites, the power resides with Fox's Roger Ailes, CBS's Jeff Fager and David Rhodes, NBC's Steve Capus and Jim Bell, MSNBC's Phil Griffen, and ABC's James Goldston and Ben Sherwood.

Some surprises on the list: sportscaster Bob Costas, Huffington Post president and Editor-in-Chief Ariana Huffington, "Saturday Night Live" creator and producer Lorne Michaels, shock jock Howard Stern and actress and talk-show host Kelly Ripa.
